About Us

As a specialist emergency physician our director Rob Robson, has years of experience developing inexpensive, time-saving and mutually beneficial solutions to many of the most difficult situations that can arise between two or more parties within the healthcare field. This experience is complemented by that of our associates, all of whom have strong backgrounds in the field of conflict resolution and healthcare.

Our Team

Rob Robson, Director

Dr. Rob RobsonRob has been actively engaged in the conflict resolution field for more than 15 years. He is a Harvard trained healthcare mediator and has been active in the healthcare sections of both Canadian and U.S. conflict resolution organizations. More recently he has worked with EHCCO (www.ehcco.org) based in San Francisco and has a particular interest in the links between conflict engagement and patient safety as well as the application of complexity/chaos theory to conflict resolution and mediation. Rob is fluently bilingual in French and English.

Rob is passionate about patient safety and functioned for several years as Chief Patient Safety Officer of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This experience demonstrated the central role that can be played by patients and families in the patient safety arena Rob realized that story-telling (by both patients and providers) and narratives are key components to reducing preventable injuries in healthcare.

Dr. Robson is a specialist emergency physician who continues to practice, having worked in community hospital and tertiary care emergency departments. Rob has a significant background and experience in the field of healthcare risk management, liability assessment, and litigation management issues.
